At Domaine Cardu , our table d'hôtes is an invitation to take a seat at the heart of our daily life. We love food that is meant to be shared and that tells the story of our Taravo Valley.

The Love of Authentic Products

At Domaine Cardu, cooking is an act of sharing . We have chosen to honor these passionate women and men who perpetuate the soul of Corsica. Thanks to them, every bite at our table tells a true story.

  • Mattea's Vegetable Garden: Mattea Hodnik's ( U Poghju ) organic vegetables are bursting with sunshine and picked for absolute freshness on your plates.
  • The Heritage of our Shepherds: Cheeses of character and an exceptional Brocciu, born from the passion of Carla Casanova and Barthélémy Poggi, our neighbors from Torgia and Quasquara.
  • Michel's Expertise:Michel Oppo's charcuterie , whose pigs are raised in total freedom under oak trees, offers deep flavors.
  • The Cellar of our Organic Wines: To accompany our dishes, we have chosen the finesse of the wines of Isabelle Courrèges ( Domaine de Pratavone ) and the strength of the organic vintages of Elisabeth Quilichini ( Castellu di Baricci ). Wines of character, reflections of a respected terroir.
  • Nadia & Pascal's Treasures: Nadia's wood-fired dried chestnut flour and Pascal's PDO transhumance honey , which enchant our desserts.

Each dish is homemade , carefully prepared to let you discover the essential flavors of our island.

Two Sensibilities, One Cuisine

We cook together to welcome you like friends.

Angélique:"I like balanced dishes that showcase the aromas of the maquis. My must-try: Lasagne with Brocciu cheese or my roasted peaches with chestnut honey and thyme from the garden."

Fabien: "I prefer bold flavors like barbecued meats and slow-cooked dishes . My specialty is Corsican Veal Saute with charcuterie from the valley, and I never resist preparing my signature Tiramisus for you: chestnut, clementine, or lemon to finish on a note of pure indulgence."

The Conviviality of a Single Table

Dinner comes to life around a communal table from 8:00 pm . It's the perfect time to chat in a family atmosphere, where Fabien shares his stories to help you discover Corsica in a different light.

Our Packages to Choose From:

  • The Gentle Formula:The Dish of the Day, a homemade dessert and our artisanal liqueur.
  • The Authentic Formula: The Dish of the Day and a beautiful plate of cheeses from our shepherds.
  • The Gourmet Formula: The complete package! For those who want to taste everything.

We are happy to adapt our dishes for our vegetarian friends . To ensure a perfect experience, please let us know of any allergies when making your reservation.

Lunch Break under the Pergola

(From 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, June to September)

To extend your morning by the pool , we welcome you under our shaded pergola. Let yourself be soothed by the birdsong with a breathtaking view of the maquis:

  • Our Sharing Platters: Fine charcuterie and local cheeses.
  • The Corsican "Signature" Croque-Monsieur: Our revisited version with the flavours of the island.
  • Our Seasonal Salads: An explosion of "Corsican" or "Vegetarian" freshness
